When you are going onto third party real estate websites, you may come across a home that says it has "SOLD" as the status.
However, you drive by the house, and it appears there is a "FOR SALE" sign in front of the home.
You want to see the house...but you are not sure if it is available or not for purchase.
Some possible answers:
- Home could no longer be available for purchase, and the agent hasn't picked up sign yet.
- Home may be ready to go on the market, but the agent hasn't marked ACTIVE on the MLS (multiple listing service) yet.
- Home could be sold as a FSBO (for sale by owner)
What Should You Do?
In my opinon, if you are EVER interested in a property, I recommend that you consult with a local real estate agent that you trust (ME!)
I can do some research to see if it is a possibility to see the home or not.
But, there is also a difference in seeing the home because you want to buy it vs. seeing the home becausae you just want to look at it.
But first, I think it is important to get to know each other!
