When people think of red, white, blue, or Americana décor, some people think to use these items for Memorial Day and Fourth of July. However, some people have the following challenges:
- not enough storage for holiday-specific items
- not enough money to spend on décor for holiday-specific items
Here are some ideas to add red, white, and blue in your home or office that you can use all year round:
- USA Flag: The flag is beautiful regardless of quantity or size. How to Display The American Flag
- Food: Decorating with food can be a delicious way to showcase red, white, and blue. Fruits, vegetables, main entrees, and/or desserts!
- Flowers: Real or artificial. Can be purchased at grocery stores, garden centers, or florists.
- Wreath: Interior or exterior. Can be hung on any door, wall, mantel, or lay flat on a table for a unique way to decorate!
- Baskets: Use existing baskets in your home/office and decorate with items that are Americana. You can also find red, white, or blue baskets that you can incorporate into your home all year long.
- Pillows and Blankets: Interior or exterior. Great for function and as an accent!
- Table Cloth: Plastic or fabric. Can find at fabric stores, party centers, etc.
- Banner on Mantel: Easy to store with a fun impact on your mantel!

When I found out we were moving to Plano, Texas, I remember looking forward to riding a horse to school and a brand-new pair of cowboy boots! I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. Axe’em Jacks! That is where my love for East Texas began. The nature, warm smiles, football games, and community values can't be beat! I graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I was a middle school math teacher in Tyler, Texas. I met my husband, Travis, in Sunday school, and we have been married since September 2016.
I love being a REALTOR® in East Texas! Relationships are genuine, the area is beautiful, and the market is rockin’! I am an involved REALTOR® to better the community. Some of the organizations I am involved with are: The Professional Development Committee, Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee, and Tyler Educational Networking Group. Some awards I have won were “The Hustle Award” in 2016, and “Rookie of the Year” in 2017.
When I am not working with my clients, I like to spend quality time with my friends and family doing the following: running, target practice, read and participate in book club, and playing with my dachshund Greta.
