The goal is to make your home as easy to show, with the best first impression. Meaning, you want to showcase your home, not highlight your stuff. You want buyers to be able to imagine their lives in the home without distractions.
When you are ready to list your home:
Showing Scheduling
Do you know you need 1-hour notice? No showings on Sundays? Let me know so that when agents call, they will have a better idea about availability. When I contact you to schedule the appointment, if that time is not the best-time, the let me know. But just a reminder, every showing you turn down, is a potential offer you don’t receive. If there is ever a change to this schedule, I need to know ASAP. Sick kiddo, house party, overnight guests, are some examples that could change the showing schedule.
While Home is on Market
Before you leave your home, make sure it is “Camera Ready”.
This needs to happen... EVERY...SINGLE...DAY.
I know it is challenging, but, you only have ONE chance to make a great first impression. If this means waking up 30 minutes earlier to straighten up your home, then set the alarm clock. If that means doing a clean sweep before you go to bed, your pillow will be waiting for you. Once you start doing this on a daily basis, it will become second nature.
Again, having your home “Camera Ready” is something you need to do EVERY SINGLE DAY your home is on the market. It does take work, but I do believe in you. Taking the time to prepare, keeping communication open with myself, and being flexible will help make this journey successful.
