I wanted to make sure that I had an opportunity to give you a head's up. A very real head's up. Closing around Memorial Day can be, or may be, more hectic than closing around Christmas.
Yes, it is still possible to close around Memorial Day, but I need to prep you.Title companies in East Texas will most likely be closed on Memorial Day (Monday).Some title companies will also take that previous Friday off, or close early. And then the title companies will be slammed the days following Memorial Day. This is because a lot of people want to take advantage of that weekend to close, so they can move in without taking days off of work.
Moral of the story...
1. Be flexible.
2. If you can close the second week of June, it may be easier.
3. If you can close two weeks before Memorial Day, this also may be easier.

I was a middle school math teacher in Tyler, Texas. I met my husband, Travis, in Sunday school, and we have been married since September 2016.
