I chose to become a REALTOR because it is a career that I can provide the following: value, education, and advocacy. My parents knew the basics about real estate, because they bought and sold one home. I did not grow up learning about real estate. What I have done in real estate was not given to me because of a family name, not because mommy and daddy gave me the business, nor because I grew up with the “good ole boys”. It was because I strived to be of value.
My favorite quote that I base my whole life on is
“Strive not to be a success but rather to be of value.”- Albert Einstein.
Success is an accomplishment, but value is a merit. Value is more sustainable, where success can be a statistic that can be altered or manipulated. Prior to real estate, I was a Texas educator (middle school math).
My goal was to make a difference in one child a year; not to have the best results. However, I made a difference, the students got to move on. I wanted to continue to provide value year after year. Educate year after year. Advocate year after year. The real estate journey is not just a school year. Real estate is not stagnant; it is ever changing and evolving. Policies, elected rulings, and governmental decisions can alter the real estate experience. I want to continue to strive to learn, and advocate for my region, so that I can continue to provide value. The best way I can do that is to be a Texas REALTOR.
Ready to make a move? I would be honored if you chose me to be your realtor!
