As New Years Eve (NYE), is approaching, many people are deciding whether they are going to
stay at home or go out
“Going Out” doesn’t always mean going to a club or bar. “Going Out” can mean going to a
- loved one’s home
- bonfire
- another city
- church
- restaurant
If I chose to go out for NYE, I prefer to either go to a friend’s house, or to a bonfire. Not only can I dress more comfortably, but hanging out by the bonfire is one of my favorite things to go. Plus, homemade food is pretty great, and you get to spend time reminiscing with people you actually spent the year with.
Reasons to STAY IN vs. GO OUT
STAY IN
Safety
There are individuals out there who feel they can drink alcohol, and drive under the influence of alcohol. This is NOT safe for a multitude of reasons. In regards to COVID-19, and other sicknesses, you may feel more comfortable social distancing.
Save Money
The NYE Outfit. The babysitter. The ride there. The food. The drinks. The cover charges. The ride home. Etc. These ALL add up.
Comfort
By staying in your own home, there are no long lines for bathroom. You can lounge on your own furniture and sleep in your own bed.
Bedtime By Choice
You can either stay up until midnight, later, or go to bed at your normal time
GO OUT
Socialize With Friends You Haven’t Seen in While
Many people did not go out for NYE 2020 because of COVID-19. You may have not seen your friends and loved ones for days, weeks, months, or maybe over a year. This is a great time to celebrate friendship!
Meet New Friends
Everyone is there to have a good time, celebrate, and have fun! This could be a great way to meet friends if you are new to the area.
An Excuse to Dress Up
Yes, I do have a pair of sparkle ankle boots, and they are fabulous. The sequins, the glitter, the sparkle. Dressing up is coming back in style!
Excitement and Party
Music. Dancing. Singing. Laughing. Cheering. These things can bring you JOY!
To be honest, I have NEVER gone out to a restaurant, bar, or club for NYE. I would much rather spend time with those I love in an environment that I feel more comfortable. Either way, I hope you have a WONDERFUL New Year's Eve, and all the best for you in 2022!
